These Magma Chalcedony post earrings feature polished 10 mm round stones in a 925 Sterling Silver double bezel. Measuring about 12 mm including the setting, the rich red-orange hues and unique patterns of the stone catch light beautifully, adding a touch of modern sophistication.
Magma Chalcedony is a relatively rare gemstone that is found in a few different places around the world, but the most famous source is Java Island in Indonesia.
Magma chalcedony’s striking hue is due to iron oxide and chalcedony banding that is infused with small crocoite crystals, causing bright pink and orange hues. The strength of these hues may vary, with some having more pink than orange and a slight red hue on them.
