Handcrafted Whale Tail Post Earrings in 925 Sterling Silver, featuring vibrant Abalone Shell inlay. Measuring approximately 0.5" in length (1.27 cm), these post-style earrings capture the shifting iridescence of the sea, making them a luminous and sophisticated ocean-inspired accent.
Abalone Shell, also known as Paua or Ormer, is a colorful calcium carbonate material admired for its wave-like patterns and vibrant rainbow iridescence. The shell is lined with natural nacre, or mother of pearl, composed of aragonite, the same material that forms the luminous surface of pearls.
