  • Typically dark in base color, Labradorite displays flashes of blue, green, yellow, and red, giving it a mesmerizing iridescent glow that appears to shimmer from within. 
  • Discovered in 1770 on Paul’s Island in Labrador, Canada, Labradorite gained popularity in Europe during the 18th and 19th centuries for ornamental carvings, jewelry, and decorative objects.
