  • Tektites are a type of  impact glass created from fragments of meteoroids or asteroids that have collided with the earth. Ancient and rare Billitonite, also known as Batu Satam, is a scarce member of the tektite family, found exclusively on the Island of Billiton (Belitung) in the Indonesia Archipelago.
  • Billitonite was created about 790.000 years ago when a gigantic meteorite left a crater that is believed to be in the middle of the South China Sea nowadays. These stones are the perfect piece for a gem lover and scientific collector.
  • Each Black Billitonite Tektite is naturally unique and may differ slightly from the image. However, the overall appearance will be similar to the image shown.
