These beautiful earrings feature natural Azurite Malachite with a clear faceted Quartz doublet, set in a charming Oval-shaped 12x16mm cabochon. Sterling Silver bezel, approximately 1.35 inches long and 0.50 inches wide, including the ear wire.
Azurite is a soft copper mineral known for its deep blue, often associated with desert skies and winter landscapes. Malachite, a copper carbonate hydroxide mineral, shares similar properties, and the two frequently occur together in striking natural formations. This beautiful stone is sourced from the Morenci Mine in Arizona, USA.
Azurite Malachite has been valued since ancient times, notably in Ancient Egypt, where it was crushed into pigments for sacred art, temple murals, and decorative cosmetics.
