Vesuvianite, or Idicrase, is a silicate mineral found in green, brown, yellow and blue. This tetragonal crystal formation was first found in Mount Vesuvius, Italy in 1795. Idicrase can be set at a natural crystal in jewelry or faceted to create a vivid gemstone.
