Lapis Lazuli is a relatively rare celestial deep blue stone and is considered semi-precious with its intense blue mixture of minerals. Its vivid color is often complemented by flecks of gold pyrite and white veins of white calcite.
Lapis Lazuli, mined for over 6,000 years in Afghanistan, was treasured in Mesopotamia and Egypt, adorning pharaohs’ jewelry and King Tutankhamun’s mask.
