  • Handcrafted in Fine Sterling Silver, this oval Sugilite pendant features a beautifully bezel-set 10 mm oval cabochon. Measuring approximately 0.88 inches (2.24 cm) tall including the bail, it offers an elegant and timeless design.
  • First identified in Japan in 1944 by Japanese geologist Ken-ichi Sugi, sugilite is a rare cyclosilicate gemstone best known for its vivid purple to magenta coloration. Typically opaque to translucent, it differs from many purple gemstones by displaying a rich, velvety depth of color rather than transparency, giving it a bold and distinctive character.
  • Sugilite’s intense purple hue, caused by manganese within its crystal structure, and its natural rarity make it highly prized. Fine material with even color and minimal matrix is increasingly scarce, while natural veining adds character to each piece, making it a favorite for statement jewelry and collectors.
