  • Pyrite, often called Fool’s Gold, is a common iron sulfide mineral with a metallic brass luster often forming in cubes or as thin layers on fossils or other minerals such as Pyritized Ammonites.
  • Each Pyrite Schist pattern will have unique, natural variations of color similar to the image. Pyrite Schist is only found in the Hartz region of Germany, which is know for its perfectly formed small Pyrite crystals, in a very black matrix.
