The term staurolite is derived from the Greek words stauros and lithos, which mean cross stone. The term derives from the fact that staurolite naturally appears in a cross shape.
  • Staurolite has been prized as a good luck talisman and used in religious jewelry for centuries. These stunning, high-quality rings perfectly highlight the unique cross shaped twinned crystal for which Staurolite is treasured.  The cross shape is much rarer than the more common X shape.  Our Staurolites are hand collected from a rare deposit on the Koala peninsula.
