Handcrafted in 925 Sterling Silver, these Turquoise Manta Ray earrings measure approximately 1.4" tall by 0.8" wide (3.55 cm x 2 cm). Each earring features natural turquoise inlay with vibrant blue-green hues and subtle veining, evoking the colors and movement of the ocean.
Turquoise is a semiprecious and typically opaque phosphate mineral which displays a waxy luster and grows in massive nodules. Turquoise can range from robin egg blue to green-blue. Each turquoise mine produces specimens that have their own distinctive characteristics.
In Hawaiian culture, manta rays (hahalua) are revered as aumakua (spirit guardians) of the sea, symbolizing protection, guidance, and a deep connection to the ocean.
