  • Starborn Yooperlite Polished Sphere measuring approximately 61–63mm, each sphere is carved and polished from natural Yooperlite, a sodalite-rich syenite known for its dark base with orange-brown and gray patterning. One sphere can weigh approximately 340-415 grams.
  • Yooperlite shows fluorescence under UV light, meaning parts of the stone absorb ultraviolet energy and re-emit it as visible light, typically a bright yellow-orange glow. In normal light it usually looks gray or dark, but under the right UV wavelength it lights up vividly because of its sodalite content.
  • Yooperlite is a natural stone, commonly sourced from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where it was first discovered. The color and patterns will vary from piece to piece. No two spheres are exactly alike, and the sphere you receive may differ slightly from the photo shown.
