Handcrafted in 925 Sterling Silver, these Whale Tail Post Earrings feature hand-inlaid Mother of Pearl. Measuring approx. 0.5" (1.27 cm), each post-style earring captures the soft iridescence of the sea, creating an elegant, ocean-inspired accent that moves gracefully with you.
Mother of Pearl, or nacre, is the iridescent inner lining of pearl-producing mollusk shells, composed of the same material as pearls. Naturally strong and luminous, it shimmers in white, silver, grey, or blue hues, while abalone varieties reveal striking patterns of green, purple, and silvery light.
In Māori tradition, the whale tail (Kuru) stands for protection, strength, and ancestral guidance, offering safe travels, prosperity, and a deep connection to the ocean’s power.
