One piece of natural Amber, a rare type of Sumatra Blue Amber, characterized by a dark, rich honey brown tint and a white color, similar to milk. Weighing approximately 80-100 grams.
This amber was discovered 100 meters down in a coal mine in Sumatra, Indonesia. The white tint comes from foam microbubbles that produce a whitish coating. You may envision it as whipped tree sap cream (foam formed millions of years ago by volcanic action) that then petrified.
This unique amber specimen from the Indonesian island of Sumatra is estimated to be 15-30 million years old. Another unique quality of this material is its distinct aromatic fragrance when worked or exposed to flame.
Each piece features raw or natural edges (not tumbled) with hand polished surfaces that shimmer with depth and sparkle within.
